Set in a historic 1916 building on a peaceful 14-acre park, Mallinckrodt is Wilmette Park District's community center for adults 50 and up. Membership (about $50/year) unlocks discounts on classes and trips plus free drop-in groups — Humanities Discussion on Wednesdays, Canasta on Wednesdays, and Mah Jongg on Fridays. There's also a fitness room, a small library with computers, day trips to theater and museums, and Sunday concerts in the park.
