A regional club, not tied to one county -- walks rotate among Chicago-area forest preserves and towns. Check windycitywalkers.org for the current schedule and location.

Chicago-area walking club affiliated with the American Volkssport Association, running non-competitive group walks (usually a 10k route with shorter 5k/6k options) at rotating locations around northeastern Illinois, plus winter snowshoeing at Fullersburg Woods and a summer walk-and-concert series. $4 per event, open to the public -- no membership required.
